Who am I?
I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor. I am registered with the main accrediting body for psychotherapy in the UK, the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority and demonstrates a high standard of professional and ethical practice. I undertook a rigorous training over five years to gain a Masters degree in humanistic psychotherapy. I have been in private practice since 2018.
I work with individual adults on a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to relationship problems, sexual abuse and trauma. I see it as my job to be with you as we explore whatever troubles you. I work collaboratively, being led by you. I share insights and views when I have them, and work with you to find the right level of support and challenge so you can safely explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings.
How about you?
We humans are complicated creatures and different experiences impact us all in different ways. We all try to do our best, in our own way, to manage whatever happens to us, to manage our difficult feelings, but sometimes it can get too much and we need support and input from someone who isn’t part of our existing circle of family or friends. I aim to provide you with an empathic, confidential, safe space to explore and work through whatever brings you to therapy.
I believe our work together can help you to make more sense of the difficulties you face; to achieve more peace and balance in your life; to feel more fulfilled in your work and relationships; to find a place of greater awareness and acceptance; and to be more open to fun and joy.
